GENE MALLORY
Born in Iowa, I moved to Los Angeles in 1950 with my parents. I earned a BS in
Engineering at UCLA in 1963 and a MS in Computer Science at West Coast
University in 1974 and have paid my dues working with software for 40 years.
Here are some historical documents of my family and their times. My Grand
Uncle's Memoir is particularly rewarding, especially for Civil War buffs. Many
do not know of the Civil War in the West, although it may have turned the war.
The South sought the wealth of the gold fields in Colorado and open ports to
the Pacific. This hope was dashed by the Colorado Volunteers and the Union army
in New Mexico. My uncle and grandfather were there.
